I discussed about How to get better salary in Embedded System ? in my previous post. One of the well known thing that salary increases with full stack embedded software developer. It means if someone working at low salary due to application level software or testing job, s/he must upgrade with firmware level as well. If someone stuck at firmware level, s/he must upgrade to operating system level.
Today’s topic is based on CSE(Computer Science and Engineering) students. CSE is still a top rank branch for decades. I didn’t realize this when I selected it in 1987.
What are some key skills of any Computer Engineer ?
This is based on CSE students in India. CSE students may have different career approach. I know many who are in Data science , Artificial Intelligence , IoT , Cybersecurity , Web design, UI/UX, Mobile Application, Embedded systems and even in VLSI. They have different skillset such as Assembly, C, C++, System C, Java, Kotlin, SQL PHP, HTML, Verilog, VHDL, Linux, Android etc. But there are some common skills as well.

Above are the key skills for decades. I have seen multiple tools during my career since 1992. Many changes in technology and hence in tools. However these key skills always help to learn new things.
