The Role
You will work with technical leads to develop embedded systems through the
entire product life cycle, from inception and roadmap through design and into
practice.
You will design and implement robust firmware solutions for various embedded
devices. Perform board bring-up, testing and troubleshooting.
You will develop, debug, and deliver production grade firmware.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelo’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
5+ years’ experience in the consumer or industrial electronics industry as an
embedded systems design engineer.
Experience in embedded C and C++ programming and firmware debugging
techniques.
Hands-on experience with embedded system development using RTOS/or
embedded Linux and device driver development.
Experience with hardware interfaces, electronics schematics and board bring-up.
Experience with wireless and networking protocols and TCP/IP programming.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Embedded Systems / Post Graduate Diploma in Embedded
System Design.
Experience with wired and wireless networking technologies including Ethernet, WiFi and wireless sensor networks
Experience in Python programming in a GNU/Linux development environment.
Experience in firmware development for battery powered embedded systems
Understanding on Power Electronics & design of SMPS modules
Experience on reliability concepts using SFA (Single Fault Analysis) and DFMEA
(Design Failure Mode & Effect Analysis) for electronic circuits.
Full Job Description
Under the supervision of Senior Embedded System Engineers, design,
prototype, test, and troubleshoot embedded electronics including hardware and
firmware for low to mid-level complexity projects.
Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic
loads, and data acquisition systems.
Conduct experiments, perform simulations, and draw concise, logical conclusions
by analyzing data.
Create test plans for electronic components and assemblies within scope of
project.
Design and qualify new solutions to applicable regulatory standards such as BIS,
UL, CE, RoHS
What Skills you will bring with you
Understanding of embedded systems, PCBA manufacturing and power
electronics.
Familiarity with schematic captures, PCBA layout software, and circuit simulation
tools.
Working knowledge of C, C++, Python programming targeted at an
implementation on microcontrollers.
Excellent problem-solving skills, exercises independent judgement and works
well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
